New World Reapers by Amritansh Dayal Book Review

Author: Amritansh Dayal
Genre: Fantasy, Psychological thriller
Publisher: Notion Press
Pages: 290

New World Reapers is the story of 4 friends in which 3 of them have blessed with superpowers and their leader is an ordinary human being. The story begins in a time where the earth has been struck with an apocalypse and after the destruction has left the humans transformed into mutants and shadows except the protagonist Athias Dawn, the one without a superpower.
Kudos to Amritansh Dayal. This teenage author has penned down a thriller filled with twists and turns at every point. The author has a nice imagination but the storyline wasn’t that good. The book needs a lot of work on the narrative. The story has ended with a cliffhanger and I hope that the mistakes made in this book will be rectified in the sequel filled with mystery and much more.

this book has the longest prologue in the history of prologues and it was really tiring just to get through it. In fact, for the most part of it, the prologue would have been better had it turned into a chapter. That would still have been more satisfying.

So basically, there is this group of four friends, three of who have superhuman powers like controlling the elements, super-strength and so on. Our main protagonist, the only one who has no special superhuman power, but who came out on the top of everyone else because of his practice and strength is probably someone to be respected (I mean, he is the only guy who earned his place, you know? You all just had it by luck)!
